The winter morning was not all that special in the small town of Burknell. As the sun slowly ebbed into the sky, flashing rays of light sent the snow into a sparkling dance. The quiet suburb lay motionless under the sunrise. Everyone was still asleep and tucked under the covers of their safe homes. But he was already up. He had been for a while, actually.

The cry of the wolf may no longer sing,
And the wind may not whistle through an eagle's wing.
The seagulls may no longer dance above the sea,
And the beauty of life may not always be free.
The thunder of horses may cease to sound,
And the beautiful earth may not be perfectly round.
The sun may be enveloped in clouds,
And the red deer may no longer gather in crowds.
So when the peace of the world has withdrawn,
Run on earth, run on.
The rivers may seem to cry with the pond,
And the songbird may never respond.
The roar of the tiger may never be heard,
And the human race may never say a word.
The splash of the dolphins may never be

Who would have thought I could actually do pixel art?! (like on my own)
